單位簡介

本系日間及進修部設有食品科技組及烘焙科技組，為學習食品及烘焙科技最理想之首選學府。全國第一所獲得考選部核准通過檢附畢業證書即可報考食品技師之食品相關科系。全國食品相關系所擁有最多乙、丙級專業技能檢定場之學系。全國系所唯一國際級TAF及衛福部認證之「基因檢測認證實驗室」及「食品檢驗服務中心」。中部唯一最佳之食品專業訓練平台。中部唯一獲102-105年度教育部發展典範科技大學計劃之食品相關科系。歷年評鑑皆榮獲一等及通過之殊榮。教育目標為培育食品、烘焙科技理論及具有實作技能的專業人才，著重理論與實務並重，其中實作課程之時數佔總授課時數之1/3以上，積極輔導學生取得國家級專技食品技師執照及食品專業證照，提升學生之就業競爭力。畢業從事食品、烘焙、藥廠、生技等相關機構之研發、生產、品管及行銷等工作與微型創業；食品(含烘焙)相關公司的衛生管理工作；擔任公私立高中職技教師；就讀研究所。
